    Emily Chen

    Secretary-General

    Emily is a sophomore studying Neuroscience and Economics at Harvard, and she is originally from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. She first started doing MUN in grade 9, joining her high school’s club, and went on to compete and direct at conferences for all four years of high school. At Harvard, she has continued her involvement in various MUN programs, joining the Intercollegiate Model UN (ICMUN) competitive MUN team in her first semester at the College, and staffing HMUN and HNMUN Boston 2025 as well as HMUN China 2025. She looks forward to serving as the Under-Secretary-General of Operations at HNMUN 2026, Director-General at HMUN China 2026, and most of all, Secretary-General at the inaugural HMUN Canada 2026! Outside of MUN, Emily is involved in various consulting clubs, the Harvard Undergraduate Clean Energy Group, and she is a tour guide on campus. Her favourite MUN memory is mentoring young students at HMUN China this past summer.

    Adam Brown

    Director-General

    Adam is a sophomore originally from Saratoga Springs, New York, a city only about four hours south of Montreal. At Harvard, he is concentrating in Social Studies while pursuing a citation in Arabic. When he arrived on campus, he had no prior MUN experience, but joined Harvard's Intercollegiate Model UN team in his first semester and never looked back. He has also staffed Harvard's high school and college conferences in Boston, alongside his experience directing a committee at HMUN China 2025 and his upcoming role on the Secretariat of HMUN China 2026. His favorite MUN memory was winning his very first award, a Diplomatic Commendation - at a conference in Canada, no less! Aside from MUN, he is a proud member of Mariachi Véritas de Harvard, and he enjoys baking, running, and quality time with friends. He cannot wait to see you all at HarvardMUN Canada 2026!

    Kaitlin Cascio

    USG of Committess

    Kaitlin is a sophomore in Eliot House studying Social Studies and Psychology, originally from Alexandria, Virginia. Kaitlin’s Model UN journey began with joining Harvard’s competitive travel team her freshman year. After that, Kaitlin became extensively involved in Model UN on and off Harvard’s campus, from her role as Under-Secretary-General of ECOSOC for HMUN Boston 2026, to Directing at HNMUN Boston and HNMUN-LA 2026, to serving as Under-Secretary-General of Committees for HMUN India 2026. Most importantly, she is extremely excited to serve as Under-Secretary-General of Committees for the inaugural iteration of HMUN Canada this year! Outside of Model UN, Kaitlin gives historical tours on campus, writes for the Crimson Arts Board, and offers legal information as part of the Small Claims Court Advisory Service.

  • Jimmy Merino

    USG of Finance

    Jimmy is a sophomore studying Economics and Government, originally from Boston, Massachusetts. He is deeply involved in Harvard’s Model United Nations community. At Harvard, Jimmy is a Director for HMUN Boston 2026 and also serves as Under-Secretary-General of Finance for HMUN China 2026. He competes with Harvard’s Intercollegiate Model UN team, where he especially enjoys the fast-paced strategy and collaboration of crisis committees. Beyond MUN, Jimmy is involved with the Harvard Institute of Politics, where he consults for and advises nonprofit organizations. His favorite MUN memory is chairing his first conference – watching delegates grow into more confident, thoughtful debaters over the course of the conference.

  • Maurits Acosta

    USG of Administration

    Maurits is a first-year student studying Government from Miami, Florida. He was born in the Netherlands to Cuban parents and has lived in the United States for the past ten years. At Harvard, Maurits is deeply involved in Model UN, serving as the Under-Secretary-General of Administration for HMUN Canada, a Director for HMUN Africa, and an Assistant Director for both HMUN and HNMUN. He is also a delegate on Harvard’s Intercollegiate Model UN team. Outside of MUN, Maurits is involved with Harvard Consulting on Business and the Environment and the Harvard Public Opinion Project. Beyond campus, he is the founder and chairman of Virtutem Populo, Miami’s largest student-led civic nonprofit organization. His favorite MUN memory is traveling to North Carolina with his team earlier this year.
