Support for International Delegations
Acquiring a Visa
HarvardMUN Canada is committed to international excellence, and welcomes all international delegations to Canada’s premier Model UN conference. Below are the following steps to acquiring either a Visitor Visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization.
Delegates visiting HarvardMUN Canada will require one or the other: delegates will not be required to hold both. To first determine whether you will need a Visitor Visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization, fill out the short quiz provided by the Government of Canada here.
Once you have determined which document you will need, please see Acquiring a Visitor Visa or Acquiring an Electronic Travel Authorization sections below. Please email us at international@hmuncanada.org if you have any questions!
ACQUIRING A
Visitors Visa
If you are eligible for a visitors visa, prepare the documents found on the following list. If you require a visa letter, please email international@hmuncanada.org.
Please be aware that children (under 18 years of age) are classified as minors, and thereby require additional documentation. To learn more, please read this document from the Government of Canada.
After you have gathered all the required materials found above, please head to the IRCC portal to submit your visa application.
*HarvardMUN Canada is aware of the ongoing Canada Post strike. For this reason, HarvardMUN Canada strongly advises delegations to apply using online methods rather than paper or mailed based methods. To learn more about the ongoing strike, please visit this link.
ACQUIRING AN
Electronic Travel Authorization
Please be aware that an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will cost CAN $7 per person. To learn how to apply for an ETA, please visit this link. Please note that children (under 18 years of age) are classified as minors, and thereby require additional documentation. To learn more, please read this document from the Government of Canada.
Invoices
An official invoice will be issued within 48 hours after registration if requested. Please purchase “School/Delegation Registration [INVOICE]” if you wish to receive an invoice.
Invoices are generated per school/delegation, and will be sent to the designated faculty advisor. Delegates requiring corrections or re-issuance may contact international@hmuncanada.org.
A delegation’s attendance is confirmed once full payment has been received. Please be advised that HarvardMUN Canada will not be accepting on-site payments for international delegations.
Invoices will be issued in Canadian dollars (CAD). Delegations are responsible for any currency conversion costs or transfer fees charged by their financial institutions. HarvardMUN Canada must receive the full invoiced amount with no deductions.
HarvardMUN Canada will be accepting the following payment methods from international delegations:
E-transfer to foundation@linkedkey.com.
Mailed cheque to the address on the invoice.
Hotel & Accommodations
