Working Together In Pieces

The consensus came down to a dual verdict where blocs T.T.T.P and Motif, that ensured that smaller provinces are heard, improving the country’s GDP, and getting rid of barriers that diminish unrepresented provinces. This will have a significant impact on the social status of each province to a balanced one. Working together, but having an individual focus on different issues, collectively supports the development of the country.

On May 29, 2026, delegates gathered to discuss Interprovincial Trade Barriers, exposing several concerns in regards to the topic. They recognized issues that influenced delegates which ultimately led their resolutions in a thoughtful and calculated procedure. Delegates strongly emphasized cross-provincial requirements affecting the ability of employment, the significant price of red tape, the impact upon Indigenous lands, the expenses from products of domestic origin, and the harsh impact on infrastructure.

During opening speeches, it was heavily emphasized by delegates representing each province that the country “must sort out priorities.” This highlights the significance that the country must work fast and together, and use their different stances, as a power to cover the overall issues at a quicker pace.

Priorities are major factors that determine the measures and procedure taken regarding greater issues. As delegates formed alliances with others that complimented their stance on interprovincial trade barriers, they independently acknowledge major issues as a whole. Today, as our nation has become a victim of the consequences from the precedent decisions, it is significant that action is taken sooner or later.

The delegates of the Council of The Federation committee, had diverse priorities that focused on different forms of change, but without a doubt all of them collectively agreed on one concept; the need to increase and improve internal trades for the betterment of the country and its citizens. Ultimately, all delegates presented insightful and innovative propositions, as stated by delegate Wab Kinew, “the committee has been insightful, with divers opinions, and heald a realistic tone when presenting their stance ”, which furthermore innovates a change where issues of interprovincial trade barriers are destroyed upon the implementation of equity amongst minor and greater provinces, economic benefits, the inclusion of the Indigenous voices, and innovative initiatives to improve infrastructure.
