To Teach a Man to Fish: “Operation Rebuild” Encourages a Self-Sustaining and Supported Ukraine

Operation rebuild gets proposed by the Delegates of Ukraine, United Kingdom, Grenada, Turkey Indonesia, Costa Rica, Ghana, Paulo, and Panama

Operation Rebuild was proposed urging the committee to support Ukrainian trade accessibility, funding, and allyship — all while Ukraine itself does not pay a dime.

The great paper proposing Operation Rebuild gets introduced by the delegate of Ukraine themselves, the United Kingdom — leader in the commonwealth, and several other countries interested in rebuilding a weakened Ukraine.

Operation Rebuild redefines itself as a resolution that uses a different method of funding to support Ukraine.

“What truly makes Operation Rebuild one of a kind is no extra investments are needed to be made to kickstart this operation”, says the Delegate of Ukraine, explaining how Operation Rebuild is sustainable economically (Yau and Delegate of Turkey).

Ukraine would reallocate its preexisting funds into the Ukrainian investment framework. Given this process, Ukraine would not need to spend any money at all to fund this operation, helping the already struggling country manage its resources and funding.

As part of the operation, the group seeks to create accessible trade routes and focus on the damaged portions of the Ukrainian economy, notably the agricultural sector. The Delegate of Turkey has offered to use the Turkey straits to provide a safe export route to allow resources to reach international countries. Not only does the use of the strait allow free trade for Ukraine and other countries alike, but gives Ukraine a way to generate income from exports.

The delegate of Turkey notes that “Ukraine depends on its connection to the sea”, highlighting the importance of allowing accessible transport and trade during this time of crisis in Ukraine (Yau and Delegate of Turkey).

To maintain the operation’s narrative as an expense-free operation for Ukraine, the operation allows the generation of profit from the purchased shares of Ukrainian agriculture. Not only will this stimulate the Ukrainian economy while at war, but it will increase global free trade capabilities in the coming future.

Instead of giving Ukraine the fish — funding directly, Operation Rebuild teaches Ukraine how to fish — encouraging Ukrainian self-sustainability and a decrease in reliance on foreign funding.
